The action of faith

Moments ago I was in a closed meeting with God, overwhelmed with his graciousness, overcome by his promises, and basically head over heels with his goodness and blessings over the Nest. But there was another item in my prayer agenda, the current needs of the Nest. Real physical urgent needs.
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Proverbs 16:9
So I was busy doing that “planning stuff”, and I asked Him for specific requests with specific dollar amounts. Then I said to Him. “Ok God you know our needs, so I’ll just wait here and see what happens”. And the funniest thing happened. I heard a soft voice as if a whisper down a long hallway “ child I DO know the needs of the Nest, but not many other people do, so why keep it a secret?”
And so here I am putting my faith into action, (and yes ! it’s uncomfortable. )
NEED # 1 : a new bridge
Our Nest’s entry bridge was destroyed by a falling tree , and what is left of it threaten’s to be carried away with each heavy rainfall. We currently have it tied to the river bank so we can tip toe across it. We need to replace it soon with a serious engineered I-beam construction that will endure for decades to come.

NEED # 2 Arborists tree trim
As we expand our housing footprint and review the current threats from above, we have identified 6-7 large trees which represent a significant risk of severely damaging our infrastructure should they fall. Due to the abundant rainfall here, a trees root system is incredibly shallow. This rain also saturates the soil like a sponge , and trees fall over with barely a puff of breeze. (Believe me I’ve seen this up close and personal). To solve this problem we need to bring in the professionals who will very carefully “ dismantle “ the tree without crushing our houses. We tried bringing in much cheaper local help, however they are good at only one way of bringing down a tree…all at once!

So these are our most pressing physical needs down here.
