A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Dear Friends,

As I write these words, I am filled with gratitude and awe as I reflect on the journey that has brought us to this moment.

I am excited to share that on Monday, June 22nd, we will be signing the legal documents to formally establish El Nido Hogar Association. This represents a significant milestone in the vision God placed on our hearts—to create a safe, loving home for vulnerable teenage girls in Costa Rica.

While this is a moment of celebration, we know it is only the beginning. There is still much work ahead as we continue building the foundation for what we believe God is calling us to do. The road has not always been easy, and there will undoubtedly be more challenges to overcome, but we remain committed to moving forward one step at a time.

Over the next few days, several important logistical pieces must come together. Two of our board members from The Nest US, Will be traveling to Costa Rica, and our attorney will make a long journey across the country to collect all required signatures in a single day, as mandated by law. It is an ambitious undertaking, and we would deeply appreciate your prayers for safe travels, smooth coordination, and favor throughout the entire process.

We also ask for your prayers as we navigate the financial realities of this ministry. Like many organizations, we have experienced increasing costs due to inflation, rising fuel prices, and unexpected repairs. While these challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, we continue to trust in God’s provision and faithfulness.

Please pray for wisdom, peace, and strength for our team as we take this important step forward. Pray also for the future girls who will one day find safety, healing, and hope at El Nido Hogar. Though we have not yet opened our doors, every document signed, every meeting held, and every challenge overcome brings us one step closer to that day.

We are profoundly grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support. You are an important part of this journey, and we thank God for each of you.
